Structured career progression, performance management systems and a supportive company structure are designed to help everybody realise their full potential. We ensure that training and development remain at the heart of what we do, from induction throughout your recruitment career at psd.

Regular reviews and appraisals, and a culture of giving and receiving feedback openly creates a challenging and inclusive environment in which everybody is committed to ongoing learning.

In 2017, our Investors In People Gold Award citation referenced “a clear commitment throughout psd to deliver a strategy of consistent growth through the hiring and retaining of high quality people, ensuring that they are given the direction, development and opportunities conducive to success.”

Management development

For the past decade, psd has been highly successful in developing management teams to lead and direct the Group. Most of our senior managers have progressed through the ranks business and benefited from the company’s in-house coaching and training programmes.

We actively encourage staff to take up assignments in other group offices either in the UK or overseas, and to benefit from the opportunity to travel and develop their careers at the same time. Many staff have taken advantage of our international network, moving into different roles around the world to develop their careers with us.

“I joined in 1987 in my twenties, after working in a more generalist recruitment business. I was attracted by the specialist nature of psd and the opportunity to recruit at senior levels. At psd I’ve worked across Europe, Asia and the US, at all management levels. I left but decided to return as psd has the knack of reinventing itself as the industry evolves.”
