Our client is a highly regarded leader in supplying and integrating support equipment for military and commercial electro-optical sensors and is at the forefront of innovation in its field. In line with strategic growth, a new and pivotal role has emerged – Head of Projects.

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Projects, will be at the forefront of strategic growth, with a laser focus on leading the successful delivery of a diverse projects portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently allocate and manage resources to optimise project outcomes.
• Develop, lead, and implement robust project management strategies.
• Make decisive decisions on project priorities, making critical decisions which align with the businesses’ objectives.
• Oversee project status, ensuring compliance with budget, timelines, quality standards, and project briefs, and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, working closely with your peers in Engineering and Operations.
• Evaluate and report on project outcomes, benefits, and lessons learned, and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in a senior project management role, ideally within the defence sector.
• Strong acumen in resource management, consistently delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Exceptional decision-making abilities to prioritise and align projects with business goals.
• Comprehensive understanding of project finance, time management, and quality control.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to liaise effectively with teams and internal stakeholders.
• Adaptable and innovative mindset to thrive in a rapidly evolving SME environment.
• Relevant qualifications in project management or a related field.
• A degree in Engineering or another relevant subject.
