We have a current opportunity for a Group Finance Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in either London or the Northern Home Counties.

Our client is a modern, well-structured real estate business with a focus on residential development, PRS and affordable housing. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team as the Group Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Deputy Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our Investment Partnerships, Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) companies, purchase ledger, and treasury functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Partnership / MMC Management Accounts: Delivering comprehensive monthly management accounts, including key variance analysis, work in progress summaries, contract cash lock up, contract margins, and members’ funding balances.
• Business Plans and Budgets: Maintaining Investment Partnership and MMC business plan models, collaborating with function/departmental Directors for the preparation of annual overhead budgets.
• Development Appraisals: Overseeing development appraisals for live schemes, ensuring real-time updates of actual costs and revenues.
• Cash Flow Reporting: Enhancing existing reporting processes to provide short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts for the Group Executive, monitoring forecast cash balances and fund availability.
• Bank Accounts and Reconciliations: Overseeing daily bank reconciliations, posting of payments and receipts, and managing bank accounts, including internet banking setup and addressing bank queries.
• Purchase Ledger: Ensuring timely posting of invoices and payments through effective management of the purchase ledger team.
• Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Undertaking process improvements and various financial analyses for Investment Partnerships.
• Team Management: Running a well-structured and good quality team.

Key Internal/External Relationships:

• Collaborate with the Investment Partnerships team, Investment Partnership partners, company managing directors, banks, and auditors.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in financial management.
• Background, ideally in real estate.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team management experience.
• ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
