Background:

Our client is a well-established strategic land business focusing on unlocking the potential for development and gaining planning approval on sites across the United Kingdom. This may vary from small-scale sites all the way through to ones where the project included installation of facilities and infrastructure, as well as managing the development process. The current portfolio covers over 20,000 homes and in recent years they have sold land delivering 3,000+ homes.

The Requirement:

As the business has continued to develop strongly and the operation of the organisation become more complex, the client now needs to recruit a Finance Director who will also double up as the COO, thus taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the organisation including functions such as technology, HR and procurement.

The main responsibility will be the running of both commercial and day to day to finance of the organisation.

The successful candidate will work closely with the board of directors and will form part of the senior leadership team which both runs the business and provides the necessary strategic direction.

The Finance Director/COO will be responsible for supporting all transactional activity and will handle all commercial finance activity.

The Candidate:

An individual who is an established finance professional who is ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.

A finance professional who can show that they have had operational management experience of non-finance matters.

Previous real estate experience would be useful, particularly if that experience has been orientated to the residential field.
