We have a current opportunity for a Financial Controller – Property on a permanent basis. The position will be based in West London. For further information about this position please apply.

Our client is a thriving UK-focused private group of real estate focused companies, where a portfolio that spans across their specialist property, construction and hospitality divisions. There is now a requirement for a senior finance professional appointment who will oversee all finance reporting for the Property and Construction divisions of the Group. 

The Main Responsibilities will be: 

• Ensuring production of monthly management accounts with full commentary on actuals and forecast out turn for construction projects and performance of individuals assets within the Property division.
• Providing a disciplined approach to the management and support of the finance team. 
• Effective understanding of construction VAT topics, treatment of retentions for VAT and CIS returns. 
• Frequent liaison with construction staff, so requires an individual that will understand the construction environment, fostering close working relationships cross both Construction and Property divisions. 
• Managing the process of statutory accounts production for all legal entities in Construction as well as the Property portfolio.
• Preparing budgets and ongoing cash requirement forecasting for construction division and performance and arrears reporting to the Property division.
• Providing good financial governance, aligning with current financial processes, and supporting future development of the financial control environment.   
• Overseeing lender compliance. 

The Successful Candidate will be: 

• Qualified ACA,ACCA,CIMA.
• Experience of Construction environment and ideally the Property sector is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft office products such as Excel & Word.
• Knowledge of IFS Cloud, Dynamics 365, Tramps or other well-known ERP accounting systems is advantageous. 
• Risk management experience in Construction is a desirable as is the ability to understand the business drivers of the group quickly.
