Our client specialises in planning, designing, and delivering creative office space and innovative branded environments for a world-wide client base. They are keen to appoint a high calibre individual with a background in financial planning and analysis to ensure that their commercial financial management is increased in effectiveness. As the Head of FP&A, you will work closely with the global and regional finance teams in business analysis and planning globally and are responsible for ensuring the delivery of the financial insights and analytics to internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:                                                                                                      

• Providing an accurate & timely month-end analysis & commentary and forecast                     
• Preparing commentary on the company’s financial health to be included in the monthly LT Reporting                                                                                                              
• Responsibility for the ongoing improvements in modelling, forecasting, and analytical techniques to improve quality and efficiency of reporting                                                           
• Running the Finance Team and interacting with the Region CFOs                                             
• Delivering monthly financial reviews to management whilst providing prompt and accurate ad-hoc financial analysis / advice to business leaders
• Managing the end-to-end delivery of financial forecasting processes, including communications, timetable and data requirements                                                                       
• Budget-setting, ensuring accurate business and investor case modelling at a group and divisional level, to incorporate P&L, cashflow and balance sheet
• Developing business analytics to drive performance and support M&A strategy.
• Working as a key Global Finance team member on assessing our internal control framework and adoption of processes that can be applied on a global scale
• Being a conduit to drive any changes / transformation to improve efficiencies, scalability in conjunction with proactive assessment of the impact to financial processes, ensuring risk assessment and mitigation
• Undertaking regular data audits and quality checks to ensure adequacy and accuracy of data and manage actions to resolve any non-conformances
• Assisting with on-going systems development and implementation
• Developing and leading a net debt and gearing forecast, highlighting financing risks and opportunities.
• Assessing and monitoring the company’s overall financial health and investments

The new appointee needs to have the following experience & skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance related field
• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Proven financial modelling experience (Macro VBA desirable)
• 5+ years of FP&A experience (PE-backed organisation beneficial)
• Ability to translate accounting standards into P&L forecasts
• Power BI,experience (beneficial)
• Consultancy / project accounting background (desirable)
• Multi-country / currency experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with financial planning and budgeting processes
• Proficiency in Excel and finance systems and data analytics/reporting tools
• Demonstrated experience in creating, implementing, and evolving detailed financial models and forecasts in a complex and fast-paced private equity environment
