We have a current opportunity for a Group Financial Controller on a permanent basis. The position will be based in London. For further information about this position please apply.

Our client is a specialist in producing strategic and practical business solutions for a worldwide set of customers. There is now a need to employ a Group Financial Controller to be based in London who will assume day to day responsibility for the central finance function and team, leading the month end close cycle and production of group management and statutory accounts and have a global oversight of the business’s financial control framework. This will be a demanding and interesting role in equal measure.

The new Group Financial Controller will:                                                                  

• Provide an accurate & timely month-end close process with reconciliation, analysis & commentary
• Responsible for the preparation of Group monthly management accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
• Oversee all aspects of group compliance e.g., audit, tax, statutory accounts and treasury
• Support in controlling global tax requirements and governance
• Support in building a governance structure to support growth, scaling and M&A.
• Continually assess our internal control framework and adoption of processes that can be applied on a global scale
• Act as a key team member in delivering offshoring / outsourcing strategy across the group.
• Support in critically assessing systems set-up for delivering all reporting requirements and desired control framework.
• Responsible for preparing the group consolidated statutory accounts under FRS101
• Manage the treasury function to provide daily, weekly, monthly and long-term cash forecasting and planning including implementation of cash pooling and financing facilities

The background of the new Group Financial Controller will be:

• Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualifying through practice (ideally, 5+ years post qualification experience)
• Hands on Chartered Accountant who wants to work in a fast-paced, international PE environment
• Statutory accounting experience with an audit background
• Statutory consolidations (multi-currency beneficial)
• Previous treasury & PE experience desirable.
• Trained in a top 10 accounting firm (top 4 beneficial)
• FRS101/IFRS experience
• Advanced Excel skills required
