A leading operator of marinas is looking for a property professional to deliver a range of construction projects, such as new builds, renovations, and repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, construction, and budgeting. They must be able to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

The Role  

Working closely with the Property & Development Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the maintenance and development capital plan using either internal on-site resources or through approved external consultants, ensuring that the brands integrity is maintained and enhanced, budgets not exceeded, and projects delivered on time to the requisite quality standards.

The Role

• Manage and deliver development works up to £1m taking the project through design, feasibility, board approval, planning, customer and staff engagement, tender and on site delivery
• Review and approve quoted works
• Support the Operations team in budget preparation
• Manage and motivate external consultants and contractors
• Prepare works proposals and budgets
• Package multiple works together and seek tender submissions from multiple contractors
• Visit sites to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met
• Report on the status of live projects and plans for upcoming works
• Support the Operations Director and the external Health & Safety consultancy on the delivery of planned maintenance visits and statutory works, assisting in the delivery any remedial works highlighted.

The Candidate Profile :

• Has a technical/professional qualification
• Has proven experience of construction/project management ideally within an operational business
• Has a proven record of delivering multi-disciplinary projects at a fast pace
• Can demonstrate experience of working successfully with similar project sizes, budgets and volumes
• Must have commercial awareness with a strong cost focus
• Must be self-sufficient and able to work effectively on their own or as part of a team
• Should be pragmatic with a can do attitude, well organised and able to plan and prioritise workload
• Must be a good communicator to all levels within the business
• Should be familiar with statutory legislation and health and safety requirements
• Must be able to deliver all projects to strict time, cost and quality parameters
• Will be a confident self-starter with drive, initiative and a can do and willing attitude
