Psd group has been retained in a search for a new Finance Director for a c.£30m t/o, profitable, fast-growing, professional services business based in the Northwest. The business offers a multitude of tailored solutions across the group and is an internationally recognised within its sector.  The company plans to continue to drive organic growth over the next few years after experiencing another 10% increase in revenue in the last 12 months. To support the business on this journey, they are now seeking to bring in a strong financial number one to develop and drive the financial and commercial structure of the business.
 
Main Duties will include:

• Full ownership and responsibility across the entire finance function to ensure accurate and timely production of monthly management accounting, year-end reporting and that all regulatory reporting requirements are met
• Responsible for the oversight of Annual Reporting and Financial Statement Audit
• Support the preparation of the Corporate Business Plan, utilising resource to enable detailed and meaningful financial analysis
• Oversight of financial budgeting and forecasting with key stakeholders
• Management and development of the finance function including qualified and transactional
• Lead and develop the external relationships including audit, banking and insurance
• Develop and improve internal processes and controls
• Ownership and responsibility across the organisation (in conjunction with the Operations Director) for operational and regulatory compliance of our internal functions, including compliance with Health and safety requirements
• Accountable for risk management in relation to financial indicators for Strategic, Financial and Credit Risks   
• To identify and lead on commercial projects, MI and system projects

The successful Finance Director will add significant strategic value, leading on commercial projects and be heavily involved in decision making with the board. They must be able to add real value to the strategic direction and growth of the business whilst also adopting a hands-on approach.

This role will suit an individual who has worked within professional services and can either be an experienced Finance Director or stepping up for the first time. The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute, technically strong, hands-on finance leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
