Our client is a leading Investment Management organisation and has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst within a Front Office Technology team. The role will involve working as part of an Agile / Scrum team on the development of an in-house Portfolio Management system and it’s integration to other platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Completing a Product Backlog from ‘Epic’ level business analysis and design down to detailed ‘User stories’.
• Ownership of backlog creation and estimation for clarification of scope and delivery timeline.
• Ownership of design workshops; leading development team and identifying solutions which are captured within the user stories.
• Responsible for ensuring developers and testers understand each story prior to any development effort starting.
• Provision of wireframes, acceptance criteria and worked examples within each user story.
• Creation of BDD feature files for the automated testing of all business logic.
• Ownership of Epics and Stories from analysis phase to live; including defect management and work prioritisation.
• QA & UAT support ensuring knowledge transfer for each story and guidance around testing scope and approach.
Experience Required:
• Experience in a fund management company as a business analyst supporting portfolio management.
• Must have previous experience of working with data, writing queries, analysing data and defining requirements for optimal data structure.
• Ability to develop product backlogs from high level design to detailed small, independent user stories.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans.
• Experience of Scrum, iterative delivery and scrum ceremonies.
• Ideally IMC, or other qualifications or courses demonstrating an interest in the business.
• Agile Story Writing.
• Knowledge of SQL required to analyse data sets.
• Experience working with XML data sets and schemas.
• Experience of data services an advantage
