We have a current opportunity for a Construction PM on a permanent basis. The position will be based be field based. For further information about this position please apply.

My client is a branded hotel operator with a number of hotels throughout the UK and Europe.

As a result of continued expansion, they require a cap-ex project manager to deliver refurbishment schemes to the existing hotel portfolio. (Predominantly UK focused)

Field based role reporting into a European Head of construction. HQ London.

The role.

• Responsibility for the delivery of refurbishment projects across the Owned and leased estate in UK and ROI.  You will also support with arrangements for delivery of refurbishment projects within the franchise hotels.
• You will manage the design process, development budget the relationships with external project managers and design teams.  You will also be accountable for Design Development, Planning Applications, Tender Processes and Cost Plans, overseeing live constructions projects for time, cost, quality, and safety.

Person

• You will have experience of Design/Build including design management or bid management and have dealt with refurbishment and new build projects.  You will also have previous experience of managing a small team of designers or estimators.  You will be confident in your own ability and able to work largely unsupervised.
• You will be an organised, methodical, numerical negotiator, with the ability to co-ordinate activities related to projects and meet deadlines.  You’ll have excellent communication skills, both written and orally, along with strong time management skills to handle all matters. 
• The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate clear strategic thinking, with a proven track record in delivery to deadline and within budget. You will need to be able to work in an entrepreneurial environment with high growth ambitions.
• Ideally you will be a Qualified Quantity Surveyor, Architect or Engineer and hold relevant COIB, RIBA, RICS or Industry Qualifications.
