PSD Group is exclusively partnering with a developer recognised for quality and craftsmanship based in the Yorkshire with a search for their Paralegal / Legal Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to be “number 1” in legal and support the business with their ambitious long-term plans for growth, including in environmentally conscious ways. This very broad role will involve working very closely with an engaging MD, Sales Director and other senior stakeholders across the business. The prime focus will be to provide the support and guidance to projects and commercial teams in relation to a wide variety of legal issues covering contentious, non-contentious and transactional matters to ensure profitable growth and to maximise improvements.

The role will include:

Contract production:

• Issuing draft documentation using pre-prepared precedents with the initial title pack.
• Issuing and preparing engrossments.
• Drafting ad hoc documents (including collateral warranties) as and when required.

Contract review:

• Managing a high-volume case load of plot sale files (including Help to Buy and Part Exchange), ensuring that deadlines for exchanges are met.
• Running a plot sale file from start to finish and where necessary dealing with any associated part exchange and where applicable dealing with Help to Buy documentation.
• Preparation of part exchange reports on title, review of searches, registration of PX purchasers. Ensuring that so far as possible that PX sales are “back to backed” with part exchange acquisition and the sale of the new plot.

Administrative support:

• Opening new files and setting up on the system (case and visual files).

Advice:

• Liaising with Purchaser’s solicitors and developer clients.
• Dealing with enquiries before contract.
• Client relationship management in particular with the client sales team.
• Dealing with queries and advising the clients as necessary.
• Forming the administrative link between Finance, Land, Construction and Sales.
• Assisting Customer Service with any legal queries that are raised.

You are likely to be a law graduate, licenced conveyancer or qualified solicitor with construction law, commercial law and/or litigation experience within the construction/property sector.

You will need to demonstrate excellent written skills, specifically regarding report writing and ability to build effective, reciprocal relationships at all levels using clear communication both face to face and on the telephone. The client offers hybrid working pattern.

Salary: between £40k – £55k depending on experience + bonus + other benefits
