psd group is exclusively partnering with a pioneering developer, based in Hampshire who are looking for a new Financial Controller to join their forward-thinking team to drive the business growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) to join a business and be a strong number 2 in finance. The role would suit an individual who has experience working within dynamic organisations and ideally within construction sector owing the forensic eye in evaluating the financial impact of the prospective work through production of weekly cashflow, managing balance sheet reconciliation and reporting packs and implementing processes and procedures to improve the quality of output. This role will also give you the opportunity to join a progressive organisation and be mentored by an exceptional FD and be seen as a future successor to them.

The prime focus will be focusing on driving the numbers, managing a strong finance function and driving process improvements across the board.

The role will include:

• Being a strong partner for the Finance Director
• Producing high-quality weekly, monthly, and annual management information to strict reporting deadlines
• Ownership of the monthly balance sheet reconciliation pack (produced to a high standard)
• Highlight and analyse monthly operating results while reporting on variances and communicating findings back to the Finance Director
• Oversee production of accurate weekly cashflow
• Producing and reviewing budget reports for group submission
• Ensuring the audit process for the Business Unit and Joint Ventures is completed within deadlines
• Always Safeguarding the assets of the business through high quality controls
• Producing and updating timely data for reporting KPI’s
• Maintaining Plot Database
• Experience of implementing new processes and procedures and consistently challenging such processes to improve the quality of output
• Experience of working to strict reporting deadlines
• Focus on controls and procedures with a high attention to detail
• Excel to an advanced standard
• Strong management skills with experience in developing teams
• Strong written and communication skills
• Experience of dealing with management on a regular basis to provide clear, concise, accurate information

You will be a qualified accountant from either an ACA, CIMA or ACCA background and have worked

within a large and dynamic Plc organisation, ideally within construction/housebuilding sector. This

will be a significant opportunity for someone who had exposure owning the full finance function

whilst driving and implementing new controls and processes to enhance financial performance of the group, reviewing all transactions and nominal reconciliations, performing analytical review and

variance analysis of actual to budget, strong reporting and auditing expertise.

Salary: between £55,000 to £65,000 + bonus + other benefits
