About the Role:  

• Ensuring stakeholders understand the end to end cost picture of the technology category and how their decisions can impact the banks cost position  
• Centrally highlighting opportunities to improve the future position through negotiation and cost levers.  
• Challenging cost drivers and seeking to reduce the cost position of the bank through effective expenditure management.  
• Producing annual category budgets and procurement plans and reviewing these in a live environment. • Assisting the business with translating business need into market ready specifications which allow market competition.  
• Acting as a final decision maker on supplier choice and accepting the responsibility for ensuring the supply chain and contract are capable of addressing business need.  
• Ensuring business units understand service provider delivery and the risks contained in the outsourcing agreements that govern this 

What we’re looking for:  

• 8+ year track record within Category Management in diverse category setup – preferably in the financial or services sector  
• Leadership experience in small to medium sized teams  
• Experience with large scale transformation  
• Significant experience in Supplier negotiations and Supplier relationship management on a senior level  
• Excellent influencing, senior stakeholder management and prioritisation skills  
• Knowledge of procurement best practice, procurement skills  
• Strong people management skills, gained through leading and developing teams; dealing with a complex workload  
• Ability to interpret and evaluate information and make authoritative recommendations  

About the Offer:  

C£100,000 + car allowance + bonus + benefits
