We have a current opportunity for a Head of Finance on a permanent basis. The position will be based in London. For further information about this position please apply.

Our client is a real estate asset & development specialist primarily focussing on town & city centre investment & development.  They have a number of joint venture partners as well as a major investment partner and will continue to invest significant sums into UK property. Due to substantial growth of the company there is a need for an experienced finance professional, a qualified accountant,  to ensure the efficient running of the company finances.

The Main Responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing all finance, accounting, debt financing, client reporting and financial data management
• Involvement in funding (equity and debt) and potentially creating new investment vehicles
• Overall responsibility for risk management, governance and compliance and reporting thereon
• Coordination and interface with numerous outsource providers
• Ensuring accuracy of fund accounts and postings
• Monitoring, maintenance and improvement of systems and controls
• Loan administration
• Responsibility for the management of the portfolio’s debt and bank relationships
• Responsibility for corporate financial reporting
• Overseeing VAT calculations and returns
• Overseeing cash control and payments & cash forecasting.
• Company Secretarial – filing annual returns, setting up new companies, maintaining records etc.
• Providing analytical review of monthly financial and business performance
• Coordinating the preparation of the annual budget and consolidation
• Coordinating the preparation of the periodic financial forecasts
• Responsibility for taxation matters, including tax planning and compliance

The Successful Candidate will be:

• A qualified accountant with experience of working in either a fund, private equity or developer situation
• Comfortable working at a senior level and have a track record of investor reporting and corporate reporting
• Have a background in the real estate sector
• Either ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Happy to work in a small but well established senior leadership team
