Our client is an international charitable & development organisation that provides free healthcare globally. Crucial to the ongoing success of the organisation will be the appointment of a new Finance Director. The main purpose of the new appointee will be to provide strategic leadership to the charity and CEO, producing board and management level financial and KPI reporting, responsible for managing supporter services and operations team, managing all financial, IT as well as other administrative duties for the charity.

The Main Responsibilities of the Successful Candidate will be:

• Oversee all day to day financial controls, processes and financial compliance.
• Produce timely management and board level reports on financial activities and KPIs.
• Management of annual audit and production of statutory accounts.
• Develop and support financial assessments of the business as a going concern in line with its strategic aims.
• Oversee the delivery and processes of data capture, data usage and compliance.
• Oversee the execution of the donor experience.
• Oversee delivery of required IT services across the business in line with the needs of each team.
• Oversee the facilities and fleet of the business, ensuring it is fit for purpose and compliant.
• Develop and lead a structured programme for cross trained administrative functions, reception and fulfilment.
• Oversee all infrastructure & business processes across the organisation reviewing financial impact, project resourcing, prioritisation and timelines.
• Oversee all infrastructure needed to support income generation programmes and manage any changes or implementations as required.
• Oversee all business reporting relating to activity, efficiency and productivity across all departments.

The Candidate Profile will be:

A qualified accountant with a track record of demonstrable experience at Finance Director level within a commercially led organisation. This may have been in a much larger charity or from outside the sector. Key to this role is someone who can be hands-on, working with a small and very lean team, as well as having the ability to be strategic, giving that wider view of what will be required longer term from the Finance function, in particular, to align itself with the delivery of the overall growth plan.
