Our client is an innovative and highly successful real estate developer, investor and asset manager. They are beefing up their team with the appointment of an Assistant Estate Accountant who will make a crucial contribution to the financial management of an expanding portfolio of properties.

The Main Duties of the Successful Candidate will be:

• Review and advise the Project Finance team on estate information accuracy & change against excel models.
• Providing them updates to tenancy schedule, service charge and rent receipts forecast.
• Assisting in the coordinate and preparation of annual asset management budgets for properties
• Review leases/service charge data provided by managing agents to determine accuracy of information and alignment with model.
• Review leases/service charge data provided by management accountants to determine accuracy of information and alignment with model.
• Provide due diligence on tenant leases in relation to tenancy schedule.
• Provide due diligence on tenant arrears.
• Provide due diligence on tenant leases in relation to rent/service charge clauses.  Including changes to unit sizes or property configurations.
• Determine suitability of previous allocations and apportionments.
• Due diligence for new properties in relation to outstanding service charge issues and overall service charge management.
• Reconciliations including bank.
• Review annual service charge reconciliations for properties in conjunction with the accounts team.
• Ensuring the integrity and timely delivery of reporting, which is relevant to meet the needs of users.

The Successful Candidate will be:

• Part qualified CIMA and ACCA (with the option to study)
• Experience: Essential to have experience in the real estate sector including maintenance of tenancy schedules, calculation of service charge, reviewing leases and the like
• Ability to turn analysis into actions
• Reconciliation / quality checking / Data collation and input / Query resolution
