Our client is a committed to leading the market in energy, carbon solutions and sustainability consulting as and a wider business is working towards achieving a zero-carbon service.  They are currently seeking a Head of Consulting to run a thriving team that offers a wide range of services to an expanding client base. The organisation has a wider offering around the provision of soft services and has a significant turnover and is highly profitable. the new Head of Consulting needs to grad the opportunity to initially look at how existing relationships can be levered. The expectation is that the new appointee will be both well known in the consulting field as an active consultant, as well as running teams and P&L’s. The remit will, in effect, be the direction, control and management of a substantial organisation.

The key responsibilities of the role will be:  

• Developing the orderbook to secure revenue growth (from both existing and new clients)
• Ensuring the delivery of technically excellent and commercially attractive propositions to customers; 
• Leading the delivery of C-suite stakeholder engagement, ensuring this transitions up the value chain to become a leader in its markets
• Developing opportunities to influence key decision makers in the market and contribute to new policies around our business proposition.​
• Delivering co-ordinated, innovative, continually evolving, professional client solutions that support the decarbonisation and levelling up agendas and deliver enhanced margins.​
• Interpreting and defining emerging best practice and wider market developments on a national and international scale to assess opportunity and risk.​
• Ensuring the projected financial growth aligned to the divisions objectives is achieved and the financial targets are met.​

The successful candidate will have:  

• A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
• Be in a leadership role in energy, carbon or sustainability consulting business​
• A detailed knowledge and understanding of decarbonisation technologies and their effective deployment in client environments
• Strong consulting and business development credentials​
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills with an ability to drive growth and new opportunities ​
• Excellent consulting-centric financial acumen with strong P&L, net margin, balance sheet and cash focus ​
• Sound understanding and experience of risk and opportunity management​
• Significant change management experience
