About the Role:
As Head of Category Management you will be tasked with supporting the Procurement Director to create organisational excellence in procurement, and will be responsible for developing and leading strategic sourcing programmes across a whole range of categories.
You will ensure contract compliance by implementing efficient and effective procurement projects, at the same time demonstrating best value for money by managing the market place through development of key strategies for supplier management.
For support, you will have a team of Category Managers and specialists, who will have key focuses in diverse spend portfolios.
What we’re looking for:
You will have demonstrable Procurement leadership skills gained from working within a Category Management environment, and you will understand how to build a roadmap for implementing effective category frameworks.
Degree educated with additional CIPS or other relevant procurement focussed accreditation.
Understanding of EU Procurement directives, OJEU and UK legislation in respect to procurement activities within the affordable housing sector.
