Managing Director – high volume, fast casual food retail start-up – London
My client has an exciting London based fast-casual food retail business that has opened to great success. Planning ahead for future growth, I am recruiting a Managing Director.
It is a small business at present but well-funded and ready to rapidly expand. The successful Managing Director will be a hands-on and pro-active operator as this will be a collaborative role to establish the brand identity and positioning in the market place and build on it.
The successful Managing Director will currently hold a senior position in the London fast-casual restaurant scene. Previous experience with fast paced brands such as Nando’s or Five Guys would be beneficial.
A shrewd commercial mind-set is important as this role will hold accountability for Finance, Operations, Marketing, Trading, HR, Property, IT and Training.
The Managing Director needs to be the type of person who can step in to a mildly chaotic environment and just get on with it. Systems are important but the real priority for the Managing Director will be to win the hearts and minds of the managers and staff. They will be able to inspire and lead the team by example, great people management skills are essential.
