A high net worth individual presented an urgent requirement which involved quick turnaround of a General Manager role following a hotel acquisition. The location was attractive, but unusual, and not perceived “ideal” by every candidate. There being no local market to search into for this role it was evident it would be “industry knowledge” that would secure the ideal candidate.
A retained solution was agreed. The psd Hotel, Leisure & Travel team brainstormed using their many years’ recruitment and industry knowledge and a target list of 25 individuals located throughout the UK were identified.
Within five days of instruction the team were able to feedback that five prime targets were identified. The client agreed and requested the shortlist, screened and interviewed within one week. Two candidates were selected and were required to undertake international travel for interview within seven days.
One of the two candidates who flew to the interview returned with the contract in their pocket. The client was equally pleased with the backup candidate.
