The Group plays an active part in the community where its employees live and work. Across the organisation, our staff are actively involved in supporting a range of charities.
In the UK, our chosen charity is Kids Company which we support through fundraising, active volunteering and payroll giving. PSD matches the money donated by staff via payroll giving. PSD staff are also entitled to one days paid leave per year to work with Kids Company.
Kids Company is a children’s charity that offers emotional, practical and educational support to some 11,000 lone and vulnerable children. Many of the service-users have suffered emotional, physical and sexual abuse and often do not have a responsible carer in their lives who can advocate on their behalf. Kids Company operates through a drop-in crisis centre in South London, a specialist education unit and offers therapeutic services in over 30 schools.

Charity Darts Night in October 2009 raised £1,250 for Kids Company.
Members of staff from PSD Frankfurt get involved in the “Job Profis” program - helping unprivileged youth to get a job or apprenticeship.
PSD supported Kids Company's Annual Awards in July 2009, sponsoring the award for Academic Achievements.
Member of staff from PSD Manchester climbed Mt Snowdon for the Francis House Organisation in July 2009.
PSD team won second place at the annual Kids Company golf challenge at Sunningdale in May 2009.
A number of PSD staff took one days paid leave for charity events in 2008 – staff in PSD London volunteered at a Kids Company Sports Day, staff in London and Birmingham took part in the Kids Company Golf Day and staff in Manchester took part in a Cares Challenge Day.
PSD has raised over £29,000 for Kids Company in the past two years.
