The Recruitment Challenge
Having previously appointed a candidate into a senior level, business critical appointment. PSD were asked to assist in a multi-role project to enhance the skills and strengthening certain board level appointments to enable the step change required to move the business forward. The successful candidates would also need to bring a certain amount of cultural change to the organisation. A key requirement of PSD was managing the multiple assignments in strictest confidence both internally and externally.
PSD highlighted and agreed with Raytheon management a target list of companies with the right type of culture and a recent history of success in the relevant fields of expertise. This information together with PSD's extensive network of contacts within the sector enabled PSD to identify target individuals who were not necessarily actively looking to move. A long list of individuals for each appointment were interviewed by PSD. Following these interviews a shortlist of candidates was agreed with Raytheon and interviews were arranged at various locations including neutral off site venues.
As a result of constant and honest communications and a very focussed methodology, appointments were successfully made for each of the retained projects. PSD has subsequently assisted Raytheon in making a further 6 hires into the Business Development function.
PSD is now recognised as Raytheon's recruitment partner for senior level appointments and continues to assist the company achieve its goals through strategic appointments.
