AGF Private Equity

The Client
AGF Private Equity is a French based private equity group exclusively dedicated to managing unlisted investments.

 

The Recruitment Challenge 
PSD was engaged to identify a new CEO with experience of the semiconductor industry and exposure to both the European and US markets for a new venture backed by AGF. A recognised leader to push the company forward was required.

 

The Process
PSD advised that Executive Search was the appropriate recruitment method to identify the high calibre individual the clients needs demanded. PSD and AGF mutually developed a list of companies to search within and began approaching prospective candidates in both Europe and the USA.

 

PSD created a series of search report's that formed the agenda for weekly conference calls. Interviews were held and prospective candidates assessed against AGF's company behaviours, market knowledge and their approach to leadership. A shortlist containing a diverse mix of candidates with European and American backgrounds was prepared. Following initial telephone interviews, AGF met the shortlisted candidates in Paris along with PSD's Recruitment Director. 

 

The Outcome
Having met the candidates, the client identified a suitable CEO who both had the in-depth knowledge of the Global Semiconductor market as well as having worked both in American and Europe. The successful candidate took control of the business within four months of PSD having begun the search.

 

PSD have continued to work with AGF identifying further leaders for their Semiconductors business from a broad range of geographies and backgrounds.
