Welcome to the latest edition of PSD Sport InFocus. As we approach the end of 2017, we reflect on how it has been another fantastic year for Sport from a spectator, participant and business perspective.

From the Lions Tour to New Zealand, Lewis Hamilton's record Grand Prix Championship win, the rise of Anthony Joshua and Usain Bolt's last race in London, the sporting calendar and back pages have once again not lacked excitement.

In this edition we focus on “British” sport. We are hugely grateful to Charlie McEwen, Chief Operating Officer of the British Lions, who has provided a fascinating insight in to the Lions Tour to New Zealand; and to Julie Harrington, Chief Executive of British Cycling, who is leading the organisation through a period of rapid growth and change.

The Sport Practice at PSD continues to grow significantly and we are very proud to have been appointed to deliver so many high profile assignments, reinforcing our position as the leading search and selection specialist within the sector. As the “business” of Sport continues to diversify, our knowledge of the sector coupled with the broader sector reach of the PSD Group ensures that we have been exceptionally well placed to deliver challenging shortlists.

I would like to thank our many clients for their continued support, and a special thank you again to Julie and Charlie for their contributions.
