Welcome to the Winter 2015 edition of PSD’s Property & Construction InFocus, which presents an eclectic selection of articles by various leaders and experts all of whom have either been working in partnership with, or working for, PSD for many years.

This edition kicks off with a terrific piece from Simon Murphy, Deputy Chief Executive & Chief Financial Officer of the Battersea Power Station Development Company.  Simon talks to us about the vision, shareholders, funding and partnerships behind the iconic development, one that PSD have been immensely proud to recruit for over the last few years.

We are also delighted to include an intriguing article about Housing and PRS by Joanna Embling.  The first female equity partner at Cushman & Wakefield and more recently a member of the Government Private Rented Task Force, Joanna is an expert on PRS, a subject that many pontificate on, but few know much about.

James Collins recruits technology specialists for PSD's Property & Construction clients.  He believes that the sector is being targeted by start-ups who want to revolutionise the way property businesses use technology.  As James says “the sector is brimming with opportunity for digital disruption”.

The publication of a new Property & Construction InFocus always provides me with a welcome opportunity to thank not only our illustrious contributors but all of our clients and candidates around the world for their continued commitment and support.  We appreciate your trust and confidence in us and we hugely value our partnerships with you.

I am pleased to report that PSD's Property & Construction Practice goes from strength to strength, winning and successfully completing some of the most important hiring projects in our specialist markets.  We have over 40 specialists across the UK, Germany, Asia, working with developers, private equity, fund managers, property services and FM & support services providers.  Our reputation for outstanding recruitment services continues to grow and our international reach has enabled us to complete assignments all over the world during the last few years.

I very much hope that you enjoy this edition and look forward to hearing your views and comments.
