Exploring the various pathways for women
to non-executive roles has been a focus for PSD's Board Practice in recent
years. Searching for, and taking on, a non-executive role can be a continuous
challenge such as: planning ahead to develop key skills needed to take on
such a role, being clear on how your current skills will add to a board,
selecting a role which you can be sure will add value to your long-term plans
and understanding the dynamics of a new role. However, despite these
challenges, a non-executive role can be very rewarding.
