PSD attended the Hotel Marketing Awards on Tuesday 28th March at W London - Leicester Square, and proudly presented the award for “Best Partnership Marketing Campaign” to Park Inn by Radisson / Carlson Rezidor.

HMA LogoIt was a brilliant event with a fantastic turnout, with key hotel marketing professionals and senior hotel figures in attendance. PSD Hospitality & Leisure was represented on the night by Lesley Reynolds , Managing Director; Mark Hulton , Senior Consultant & Hotels Marketing Specialist; and Will Davies , Associate Director of Hotel Sales & Marketing. Ed Purnell, Chairman of the HMA, captured everyone's attention with his introductory speech, and highlighted the benefits of working closely with a nominated recruitment partner such as PSD. Mark presented the award for Best Partnership Campaign to Park Inn. Steve Manfield, Area Marketing Director at Carlson Rezidor, accepted the award on behalf of the team. It was a pleasure to see Steve again, after placing him in the role.

It is always interesting to see how hotel brands can benefit from effective partner marketing, and during 2016 the industry saw a number of pioneering marketing campaigns where two brands have partnered and gained results. The nominees for this category are:

Exciting new limited service hotel group

The team worked with an upscale hotel group that had a strong fitness offering. The company needed to revamp how they marketed these fitness services in order to drive high acquisition of new members into all of the hotels across the UK.  The group needed a candidate who would offer the most effective impact on their marketing strategy and activity. Keen to add an individual with a high level of marketing expertise, Will and Mark sourced senior marketing talent from a number of leisure and gym groups. A year in to the role, the candidate has successfully repositioned the brand, which is now considered a key player in the health and fitness market alongside its hotel offering.  

Head of Marketing - £60,000 - London 

Group of Luxury hotels and venues

A highly regarded luxury hotel group needed to improve their strategic marketing approach and thus improve their commercial return on investment. Will sourced a senior marketing candidate with a wealth of strategic commercial marketing experience from a global brand. New in the role this person has already made a significant impact on the commercial marketing strategy and the company's bottom line through their innovative approach and results-focused marketing strategy.
