PSD Manchester raised £9067.18 for Key 103 Cash for Kids team.
In March, the PSD Manchester Office presented the Key 103 Cash for
Kids team with a cheque for £9067.18
This is a
result of the many charity events organised throughout 2015/2016, Umbrella
Company support, Payroll Giving and the matched Payroll funds provided by
PSD has contributed to the £2 million that has been given to the
local community, helping 60,214 local children.
During 2015, Cash for
kids has helped the following organisations:
- Trafford Domestic Abuse
Services provides services for the survivors and those at risk of
domestic abuse. Cash for Kids grant funded £1479 to help run a 7 week 'Rspace'
programme, twice from September 15 onwards, which supports children
disadvantaged by domestic abuse.
- Lower Kersal Young
Peoples Group run two youth clubs and projects for children and
young people in deprived areas of East Salford. Cash for Kids grant funded
£2000 to provide the cookery element of 'ProjectShed' which involves sessions
for children to make food and present them as gifts to those in need, and gain
a food hygiene certificate.
- Flower Estate Residents Association is a residents
association based on the "Flower Estate" in Farnworth. Cash for Kids grant
funded £1000 to help them continue the "Quid a Kid" scheme which allows
children from Farnworth to access Leisure Centre facilities for free 3
evenings a week.
We have more events planned for 2016/2017
including the Manchester 10k run, Quiz Nights, Cook Offs, Summer Fete and Toy
