Our annual staff awards ceremony recognises the achievements of our consultants, support staff and managers. Quarterly and monthly incentive schemes reward achievement with team nights out, spa days, iPads and store vouchers etc.
Staff are also recognised for long service from their fifth anniversary and every five years thereafter with gifts and celebratory dinners.
Training, development & career opportunities
We are a recognised Investor in People and were awarded the Fast Track Award in 1996 for being the fastest company in London to achieve the Standard. As a result of our reassessment in July 2014, we were awarded the prestigious Gold status.
We aim to ensure that training and development is ongoing for all staff from induction throughout their whole career at PSD. Structured career paths, well developed performance management systems and a supportive management style are designed to help everybody at PSD realise their full potential. Regular reviews and appraisals and a culture of giving and receiving feedback creates a challenging and open environment in which everybody is committed to ongoing performance improvement.
During our last re-assessment for Investors in People, the assessors made this comment:

Career progression & personal development
Consulting staff can progress from Resourcer or Consultant to Senior Consultant and then on to Principal Consultant. From Principal Consultant staff may elect to pursue a management career progressing to Associate Director, then on to Director and ultimately to Managing Director. Alternatively Principal Consultants may also progress to Associate Director and then onto Director without management responsibility.
Over the last 10 years PSD has been extremely proud of its success in developing the management teams who are leading and directing the Group. Most of our managers have progressed up through the business and completed our various coaching and training programmes.
Our personal and management development programmes, supported by mentoring schemes and 360o appraisals, have been highly effective in building a strong and experienced management team to support the ongoing growth of the business.

Following its reassessment in July 2014, PSD was awarded the Gold status. Since achieving the Investors in People standard in March 1996, we have been continuously recognised by the assessors as an "exemplar organisation where employees feel connected to the values, vision and objectives of the business".
Our elevation this year to Gold status is an achievement that we are very proud of and one that we believe demonstrates to our clients real commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. The recent assessment noted that "PSD develops long term partnerships with its clients, provides high quality feedback and communicates a compelling vision which generates enthusiasm and commitment to the group", all essential components of an effective recruitment service.
ISO 9001 provides a strong framework for quality control and continuous business improvement. This standard is evidence of the quality and consistency of our service, which means that clients will receive consistent levels of service across all divisions.
All employees within the company are jointly responsible for implementing the procedures of the quality system and individually responsible for the quality of service provided to our clients and candidates. They are also responsible for encouraging teamwork and good communications through the company to ensure that PSD's objectives are achieved.
Payroll Giving Award - Platinum
