The Brief

A large Middle Eastern airline organisation selected PSD as their primary IT Contract/Interim supplier. The remit PSD was given included supporting growth with the implementation and delivery of major IT and business change programmes for the airline.

The challenge was to minimise issues around location, company culture, unique skillset requirements, legal compliance within the contractor pool and agreeing both client and contractor were in agreement around work expectations.

The Solution

PSD resourced and engaged candidates with complex, niche and rare skillsets. These have been pipelined through PSD’s established, global, personal and professional networks, as well as innovative use of technology and social media.

As employment with the airline usually required relocation, PSD assigned an experienced consultant to work closely with every contractor – taking them through relocation and other issues of employment step-by-step. By maintaining regular contact, the consultants developed strong working relationships with the contractors – enabling the consultants to build an understanding of each contractor’s key motivators, drivers and concerns.

The Results

PSD provided bespoke support on a one-to-one basis, ensuring contractors experienced smooth, simple and productive transitions to their new roles and locations. This included introducing them to the company culture and managing expectations effectively.

PSD has continued to work with, and support, the airline as it has sought to overcome various recruitment challenges – including resourcing and on-boarding. PSD has made over 100 placements for the airline and continues to receive positive feedback.
